Touch of Spring

Origami flowers by Esha as a mother's day gift for me. The light pastels catch the rays of the spring sun and glow in it's light .. almost in the same way as bio luminescent sea creatures do at night. 
Spring is here and well it is almost summer. Time to update that wordrobe, or maybe dig through and find some light, breezy, colorful clothes to compliment nature.
What to wear - Cotton kurtis in Light pinks, yellows, azures, pistas .. never fails to make u feel pretty and girly :-). Pair it with silver jewelry for that wow effect.

HALDI

My closest friend Divya is getting married..and I cannot stop thinking of all the colors that will be used at her wedding.
Haldi ceremony is one of the pre-wedding functions she will have. Essentially this ceremony is part of a cleansing/purifying process since Haldi or Turmeric has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties.
What to wear => Haldi can ruin the best of your clothes and stains easily. So the look should be minimalistic, yet bright and colorful. A chiffon saree in reds, ochre, orange or green with a mirror work blouse will look superb. Go bolder with a backless gujarati mirror work blouse and a plain chiffon lehenga skirt.

Chanderi

Chanderi sarees.. If i had to blindly choose a saree ever, I would go to a chanderi shop and just blindfold myself and pick a saree.. you can never go wrong with it. For the clueless.. Chanderi saree comes from Madhya Pradesh. I absolutely love the confluence of gold thread woven with cotton to create this light-as-air elegant shimmering piece of art.
